Jet Airways To Start In-Flight Wireless Streaming Services


Jet Airways, a full service providing airline of India is soon to start the in-flight service of streaming of entertainment content directly through Wi-Fi enabled devices of passengers. The airline would offer IFE streaming to its passengers from the wide range of multilingual content available in its in-flight service. With this service, Jet Airways will become India’s first airline to provide Wi-Fi services to its passenger.

As per a statement given by an official of Jet Airways the IFE services will be incorporated on the Boeing 737-800NGX aircraft and the service is likely to start from the second quarter of 2016. This new system is brought in with collaboration with Global Eagle Entertainment.

Bringing this service would allow the passengers to surf internet, use social media applications, check connecting flight status and watch live television as well. The service will soon be launched on the Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330 aircraft in the fleet which connect the long haul destinations of the airline.
